Kai Lenny and MFC Present New Race Fins

After claiming big wins at the Battle of the Paddle and Stand Up World Series, Kai Lenny is ready to head for France, in his quest to secure a third SUP surfing crown. But he was also busy developing new SUP race fins for next year, together with the guys at Maui Fin Company.

Kai joined forces with Pio Marasco from Maui-based MFC (Maui Fin Company) and helped create a couple of new SUP race fins called the “Sprint4″ and “Sprint5″. These fins are a bit weird. They look like regular fins that hit a rock or something and snapped in half. Despite the awkward form, these fins enhance the performance of racing SUP boards and Kai used them when he won the Battle of the Paddle a few weeks ago.

Kai Lenny’s Sprint4 and Sprint5 SUP race fins will be available from Maui Fin Company at the end of October. Until then, you can check out Kai as he explains the concept of the Sprint5 fins in the clip below.
