Maui Paddle for a Cure Highlights

A few weeks ago, in honor of breast cancer awareness month, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa hosted the first ever Maui Paddle for a Cure. The event was organized and presented in collaboration with The Butterfly Effect and Maui Jim at Ka’anapali Beach.

This was a sustained effort to raise funds for the Hawaii Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, a non-profit foundation engaged in a mission to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering others, ensuring quality care for all and investing in science to find the cures.

The event was a huge success, as the Ka’anapali Beach became a “sea of pink” as paddlers in pink jerseys made their way from Hanako’o Beach to Whaler’s Village. Maui community and Hyatt guests who came together to celebrate life, raise awareness of breast cancer and support the funding of necessary programs in Hawaii wrote history.
