River SUP is without doubt and exciting and thrilling discipline. It can be fun, but also challenging and even dangerous at times. Running through the rocks and whitewater requires skill and preparation.
And there’s also the tough side: lots of swimming, struggling to stay afloat, hitting rocks and more. Even the experienced riders run into troubles sometime.
Will Saylor, Trey Knight, Jack Nelson and Chris Tilghman put together a little edit, presenting the real face of river SUP, with its fun and tough moments. The clip is shot in the Nolichucky Gorge, in 1450cfs level of whitewater.
