SUP Debuts at the 2016 Yukon River Quest

The Yukon River Quest is the longest annual canoe and kayak race in the world. It is a tough event, which puts the competitors’ skills and endurance to the test. And this year, a new category of elite riders will take part in the competition.

The Yukon River Quest has added solo stand up paddleboarding to its 2016 roster. It is a premiere for the long-distance race from Whitehorse to Dawson City and it will be a tough nut for SUP riders to crack, as the course will take them on a 715 kilometer journey.

It's hard to find another race on the stand up paddleboard race circuit that comes close to matching the mileage of the river quest. Beyond its beauty, the river quest is sure to challenge the hardiest competitor. It will be an awesome event and we hope SUP riders rise to the challenge.
