Surf to Sound Challenge Coming Soon

The Surf to Sound Challenge is one of the most prestigious races of the season and it returns to North Carolina between the 31st of October and 2nd of November.

This year’s three-day family weekend starts on Halloween, offering SUP clinics by Rando and Cain, a beginner course for standup paddle surfers, storytelling and more for kids, as well as SUP races for every skill level on four unique race courses for a total of 20 miles, covering open ocean and inland waterways that circumvent the beach strand and picturesque marsh islands.

Jessica Rando and Larry Cain from Canada are the defending champs. They will battle in the Women’s and Men’s Elite division to claim the titles once again.

The main events of the Surf to Sound Challenge are the 6.5 miles Challenge for Advanced riders, the Harbor Island Outer Loop – a 4 miles race for intermediate riders and the Blockade Runner Flatwater Championship – a 9 miles advanced flatwater race. These events will be complemented by cool demos, parties and more.
