Copa Quiksilver El Salvador 2012

Copa Quiksilver El Salvador 2012

Period: Jul 4 - Jul 8, 2012
Location: Punta Roca, El Salvador

Copa Quiksilver El Salvador is part of the ASP Men’s Star agenda and the second of three Latin American events on the ASP North America Tour. It is a 4 Star event which represents a great opportunity for skilled young surfers from Latin America to showcase their talent.

The Copa Quiksilver El Salvador is scheduled to take place between the 4th and 8th of July at Punta Roca, El Salvador. Punta Roca offers superb conditions for cool surfing action and a tropical weather plus beautiful scenery.

Last year, Ezekiel Lau from Hawaii claimed the Copa Quiksilver El Salvador title, in a final battle against Mitch Crews. It was the first major ASP title claimed by Ezekiel. At the end, he stated: “It just felt so good when I got here, the waves are good and I just stayed relaxed. It’s a bounce back, I’ve had some ups and downs and I just wanted to get back on it and just relax and surf. I just had so much fun. Mitch surfed so well and I wanted to surf against him in the Final.”

Other great riders that took part in the event last year and are expected to participate this year include: Dillon Perillo (USA), Tommy O’Brien (USA), Santiago Muniz (BRA), Israel Cordova (SLV), Josie Graves (PRI), Diego Salgado (PAN) and many other talented ones.
