A 28 Years Old Surfer Survives Tiger Shark Attack

Joshua Holley is the lucky survivor of a tiger shark attack. The 20 years old surfer was riding at Leftovers, on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii when he was attacked by a 10 feet shark. Joshua remained calm and managed to strike a few punches in the shark, pushing it away while yelling "I’m not gonna die today."

Right after the attack, Joshua went back to the beach, where he was attended by beachgoers. His encounter with the shark resulted in two torn tendons and 42 stitches to take care of the wound he suffered during the attack. He will undergo surgery to fix his torn tendons, but says he will not give up surfing and he will be back on the water as soon as possible.

Joshua stated: "I felt this unreal push on the left side of my body. It was like this popping sensation on my foot and I looked down to my left and I saw this huge dorsal fin. Survival mode kicked in and I punched it really hard once and then twice. I didn’t want to panic or go into shock or anything like that. […]I’m not really angry at the shark. He was just doing what he does, I’ll definitely be back."
