Quiksilver Congratulates Kelly Slater for His #50 WCT Win

Kelly Slater, the icon of American and Globas surfing has claimed the Hurley Pro title, in an epic final against Joel Parkinson. Winning the title at Lower Trestles marks win WCT #50 in Kelly’s personal agenda.  By claiming the Hurley Pro, Kelly has made history. He is the first surfer ever to achieve 50 tour wins and 11 ASP World Titles while dominating two decades of competitive surfing as both the youngest and oldest ASP World Champion.

Right after his #50 win, Kelly said: “I have to thank the fans – not only today, but over the years. It’s such a blessing to be surfing at Trestles. It’s cool to win the 50th here. I won my first event as a pro here, and it’s great to get this win.”
