Ryan Callinan Joins DaKine Team

Ryan Callinan was born in 1992 in Newcastle, the place where he still currently resides. He comes from a surfing family and started surfing himself since he was five years old. He has a spectacular career as a pro surfer and won important titles at major competitions so far. He loves charging barrels, performing big carves and spectacular air maneuvers.

The skilled rider has recently teamed up with DaKine. This is a major step in his career, as DaKine will support him at all the major events where he will be present. He is now teammate with Joel Parkinson, Taj Burrow, Brett Simpson, Evan Geiselman and the other amazing riders on the DaKine team.

Sasha Stocker, DaKine's Australia's team manager, said: "There is a big pool of talent out there but some surfers have that ability to stand out in any arena and Ryan is one of them. He is recognized as one of the world's junior talents and we look forward to working with him as he looks to transition into a contender at the elite competitive level.

Ryan has a great temperament and really froths on surfing. He's got a polished repertoire and a super-progressive aerial act that makes him a surfer to watch into the future. I welcome him to the team and it is great that he has placed his confidence in DaKine."
