Update on the Tropical Cyclone Jasmine

A Tropical cyclone or hurricane is a powerful cyclonic storm that draws its energy from cloud formation and rainfall. It has a highly destructive force. If you are living in New Caledonia or you are visiting it, you must know that the Tropical Cyclone Jasmine storms the area at about 605 miles northwest of Noumea.

Noumea is one of best spots for surfing and related water sports in the world and gathers a huge number of water sports enthusiasts each season. It usually has awesome wind and wave conditions, but you might consider keeping away from the water for the next few days. As stated, the center of Jasmine is currently located around 17.3 South and 159.6 East, or around 605 miles Northwest of Noumea coast.

At the present, 70 mph with gusts to 85 mph are experienced in the area, but the cyclone is expected to intensify over the next 48 hours, while passing between New Caledonia and Vanuatu. The cyclone is currently moving East at around 16 mph.

After the next 48 hours pass, the Tropical Cyclone Jasmine is expected to decrease in intensity and head in a South East direction.
