JD Webb Joins Billabong

The newest member of the Billabong wake family is no other than JD Webb, former Rookie of the Year and two-time Rail Rider of the Year. JD is one of the most renowned athletes in the industry. In 2006 he set the World Record for longest ramp to ramp jump on a wakeboard by jumping over the Lake Eola fountain in downtown Orlando, Florida. His stunt was awarded by the Orlando officials by declaring September the 30th as the JD Webb day. He was also given the key of the city for his performance.

From now on, JD will unleash his awesome skills alongside the other talented members of the Billabong wake team, which includes Raph Derome, Brian Grubb, Shawn Watson, Mike Dowdy, Erik Ruck and Marc Rossiter.
Billabong Wake Manager, Chris Heffner, is stoked to have JD aboard: “I have been a fan of JD Webb since his Junior Pro years. He is a shining star in the Wake world and we’re stoked to have him representing Billabong.”

JD is also proud to be part of the Billabong crew: “I couldn’t be happier about starting a long term relationship with the Billabong family. They are on top of their game with not only the best clothing in the industry, but also a team that pushes it in every aspect of our sport. I am excited to ride for a company that has the same passion for wakeboarding as I do.”
