BIC knows that not only experienced and pro riders love windsurfing. There are a lot of people who have just picked up the basics or would like to learn this great water sport. Therefore they need a board which is forgiving, easy to use and safe. Especially for the, BIC has created the Nova, a windsurfing board which is perfect for school, training or just recreational cruising.

The board features a wide shape and a compact outline. This profile helps the rider to maneuver it easily and have a smooth and drag free glide. It packs plenty of volume to assure maximum stability and to run nicely even in very light wind. The board’s profile makes it perfect for carves and jibes and also enhances the early planning abilities. The BIC nova features a multitude of foot straps positions. Depending on the positions, the experienced rider can benefit from extra power to perform tricks or progression moves, while the beginner sailor can set them for extra grip and stability. The Nova has a retractable daggerboard system which also enhances the grip and balances the power release. Since the board is very maneuverable, the rider can perform any twist, turn or jump easy and effortless and have a responsive and precise control. Extra comfort is provided by the use of flexible and easy adjustable foot straps and a full EVA deck.

BIC has built the Nova on an ASA structure to make sure it is stiff, durable but light at the same time. The board comes in two versions, the 170 liters model with a 90x239 centimeters size and the 210 liters model with a 95x265 centimeters size. Both models offer top performance when they are used with a 2.5 up to 6.5 meters wide sail.
