Racing is one of the most demanding windsurfing disciplines. A dedicated racer needs high performance gear to complement his amazing skills. The new 2011 Fanatic Falcon SL is especially crafted for slalom enthusiasts who love both casual and competition races. The board is extremely fast and powerful and it is a perfect tool for pro and advanced sailors. The board offers specific performance depending on its size.

Smaller Falcon SL models are optimized for high wind speed sailing, while the larger models (134 and 148 liters) are powerful lightwind weapons and offer a better drive and quick acceleration in light breeze due to the wider tail and wider center point. The board features a lower mast track to keep the rig super stable at high speeds. Fanatic has used fuller rails in the construction of the Falcon SL to make sure it is easy to control and turns accurately at fast speed. The straight outlines between straps provide a more fluid drive, while the fuller tail volume improves early planning and jibe performance. A 75 degrees pintail optimizes water release and improves turning accuracy.

The board features a power V bottom design in the tail area for reduced drag, complemented by a double concave which makes the board easy to handle and stable in rough surf conditions. The Fanatic Falcon SL has a sharp scoop rocker which generates a very smooth and fast glide and provides optimal control. A recessed deck keeps the rider comfortable throughout the entire session. The board is engineered using a Biax Carbon Sandwich Light construction which assures a perfect stiffness pattern and a balanced strength to weight ratio.

Besides speed it gives you total control. It feels quite loose and forgiving at top speed, unlike like other slalom boards. Upwind tracking is great. Even in light winds the board goes upwind nicely. Jibes work nice with equal or slight rear foot bia...more
