The 2010 boards developed by Fanatic are perhaps the most competitive ones available on the market. Not only that they deliver extra performance, but are created to suit all range of styles, skills and weather conditions.

Shark is a board especially dedicated to freeride lovers. And it is dedicated to both advanced or beginner riders, so that they will both enjoy high quality windsurfing sessions. The Shark is build on the successful pattern of the famous Eagle, but is more forgiving and tackles the waves in a gentle way so it can be used by beginner sailor without any effort or hassle. The shape is compact and features and has balanced rocker lines and a narrower tail which assure enough power for high speeds and extra maneuverability too. Fanatic has implemented the new Logical Volume Flow technology to assure maximum comfort and handling even in choppy conditions. The bottom has an enhanced V shape which deploys power in a balanced way, so the rider can take maximum advantage of it and experience nice jumps and jibes. The overall control is increased by the use of a high rocker, while the domed deck offers a smooth ride and keeps the rider comfortable. Any rider will definitely appreciate how easy the Fanatic Shark turns and rotates, and how easily it can reach high speed whenever it is needed.

The board is available in standard and limited edition. Standard edition is constructed on the High Resistance Skin technology, which assures extra durability, while the Shark LTD is based on a Carbon sandwich structure, which makes it lighter and powerful for those riders demanding additional pop.

To cover a wide weight range, the Fanatic Shark is available in 100 to 165 liters volume and 63x245 to 83x255 centimeters sizes for the standard versions and 135 or 150 liters volume and 73x245 or 78x250 centimeters sizes for the LTD edition. Maximum performance is reached when the Shark is used with a 4.5 to 9.5 square meters sail, depending on the board size and volume.

It is fast and powerful, but i don't like that you have to make extra effort to handle it at high speeds. It is quite rigid in feeling. I don't know about the ltd., but the standard doesn't satisfy me in high waves or high speeds....more
