Marginal wind conditions tend to keep riders away from the water. This is not the case if you have a reliable lightwind board by your side. The new 2011 JP Super Ligtwind is one of the most efficient lightwinds boards today and it will get you planning and running fast when the breeze barely blows. The board offers lightwind planning performance similar to that of a Formula board, but it is much more fun to ride. Unlike a Formula board which runs upwind like a truck and rushes downwind at incredible speed, the JP Super Ligtwind has a very fluid and smooth glide.

The Super Lightwind has a similar length as a Slalom board, and the longer outline makes it very stable in non planning conditions. The reduced width provides a balanced low end and improved maneuverability. The special scoop rocker line assures optimal top speed and better upwind performance. The new rail shape adds extra control during maneuvers. A special bottom design, featuring an increased V in the middle section generates smooth turns and a very fluid drive. The reduced V in the tail allows the rider to perform advanced maneuvers without worrying about losing control. The new tail cut outs make the board looser and provide a better release.

The JP Super Ligtwind is equipped with a Race Deck which provides excellent comfort during the drive. The inboard positioned straps also keep the rider relaxed as he speeds across the water. The board uses a 56cm G10 Slalom which reduces drag and assures better grip and lift when needed. The Super Ligtwind is available in Pro and Gold editions. The Gold Edition features a Textreme Carbon deck, a UD Carbon bottom and a Carbon mast track, while the Pro edition is crafted using a Biax Carbon construction technology.

This is a great board for racing in light wind. The straps are not the most comfortable, but you get used to them as you sail. The board planes without effort and keeps you relaxed as you speed around. The board also jibes very nice. It is the kind o...more
