Don’t worry because it is nothing evil about Starboard’s new board  Evil Twin. It is basically developed on the Evo pattern, since the Evo is such a successful board, but it is slightly more aggressive and suits perfectly hardcore and extreme wave riders. It is also a great choice for gusty conditions, when high waves and winds keep other riders out of the water.

The new twin fin setup provides stability and faster and safer turns and rotations. Enhanced Twinzer-tuned outlines and a compact and shorter profile assure a smooth glide and a high top speed. A narrower tail provides optimal power release for early planning, jumps or speed.  Soft rails and a tail biased rocker line keep the speed constant and significantly improve acceleration and upwind abilities. Just like the Evo, the Evil Twin offers constant speed and performance, but tackles the waves in a more aggressive way due to the sharper tip. Although it is quite powerful, the board is easy to maneuver and respond accurate to any command. The mono concave bottom design optimally directs the water flow and makes steering very easy. The proportional volume distribution assures increased floatability and makes the board very stable in choppy conditions. No matter how extreme the ride is or what moves the rider performs, the Evil Twin remains responsive and predictable at all times. For additional comfort and for an optimal pressure distribution, the board features heel bumpers.

The Starboard Evil Twin is available in two structures: the Dur-X and Wood double sandwich construction which minimizes weight and keeps the board solid, and the Wood Carbon construction which balances tensile strength, maximizes resistance and offers minimum wave impact feedback. For maximum efficiency, the Starboard Evil Twin should be used with Drake Evil fins, and a 3.0 to 6.5 meters wide sail, depending on the board’s volume and size.

A ton of fun and easy to sail in big bump & jump conditions. I'm 75kg and I use the 80 ltr in 5.3 and down conditions. Tons of control both in the water and in the air. Nice tight turns for riding the swell. Not the greatest for getting up wind b...more
