The World’s Most Radical Riders Signed up for the Next PWA Event

First up the introduction so that everyone is on the same page: the next event on the PWA World Tour 2011, now that the Pegasus Airlines PWA World Cup has come to an end, is the KIA @coldhawaii PWA World Cup that will take place in Klitmøller, Denmark, from the 12th until the 18th of September. It is a waveriding event that has a prize purse of €30,000.

With the introduction out of the way, let’s move on to the news. The news is that the PWA (Professional Windsurfers Association) announced that 42 of the world’s most radical waveriders have already signed up for the KIA @coldhawaii PWA World Cup. Among the 42 riders you can find the following:

  • Philip Köster, the current leader of the PWA World Tour.
  • Kauli Seadi, three times Wave Champion.
  • Victor Fernandez Lopez, former Wave Champion.
  • Ricardo Campello, the rider who can boast about the highest jumps on the tour.

In the PWA’s own words:
“With just nineteen days until the start of the 2011 KIA @coldhawaii PWA World Cup in Klitmøller, Denmark, the excitement is already building and the tension is rising. Forty-two of the world’s most radical wave riders are signed up for the third stop on the 2011 PWA men’s wave tour and they are ready to fight it out for those critical mid-season world ranking points and a taste of the €30,000 prize purse.”
