Naish promotes windsurfing and related water sports world wide and encourages kids to learn sports and participate in competitions. Children don’t have similar needs as adults. They require special gear which can help them improve their skills. The Ripper is the perfect sail for kids who love windsurfing. The sail is engineered on a similar shaping pattern as the Boxer, but it is not just a downsized version of this sail. Every aspect and detail of the Ripper is carefully optimized to suit a young rider.

The compact outline of the sail provides an easy water start and assures a smooth glide. The moderate luff curve complemented by the single Dacron luff panel reduces tension and balance the power delivery. This way the sail feels light and agile and can be handled without effort. The reduced length of the boom and luff decrease weight and significantly improve handling. The Naish Ripper uses a solid four battens skeleton which keeps it very stable in various wind and wave conditions.

The sail can be used by both beginner and advanced young riders. It is forgiving and easy to use, but it packs the speed and power needed to keep up with kids as they progress and start performing advanced moves. The Ripper is constructed using top quality X-ply and Scrim fabrics and it is built to last. The sail is available in 2.7 up to 4.2 square meters sizes and features stunning graphics.

The sail is very easy to rig and very versatile. My kid uses it. He says that it is stable and has a good power. From what I see it is light and runs smooth. Built quality is excellent.
