The new 2012 wave sails introduced by North are intended to improve the riding experience of all riders out there. All sail models are engineered using top quality fabrics and the latest technology and can handle extreme surf conditions with ease. The 2012 Hero is a high performance wave sail which offers plenty of power and covers a wide wind range. The sail is crafted by North team together with pro rider and champ Marcilio Browne and it offers performance close to perfection.

The sail provides generous power in all conditions and feels light and stable out on the waves. A robust four battens skeleton is used to keep the draft stable without adding extra weight. The Hero features a balanced luff and boom length which assures excellent handling and better stability. The narrower sleeve provides extra control when the rider performs technical maneuvers. A new Twin Trim Clew system allows the rider to tune the sail according to his needs and increases the range of use.

The sail is easy to power up and runs very smooth. It has a well balanced skin tension which produces a constant and consistent power delivery and also makes the sail responsive to rider input. It accelerates easily and reaches a nice top speed. It also has excellent jumping and lifting abilities, so it can perform aerial moves without problems. It can rotate very smooth even when the outhaul tension is minimal. The North Hero is a powerful and versatile wave sailing machine fit for both champs and less experienced riders. The sail is available in 3.4 up to 5.6 square meters size and comes with Vario or fixed head depending on size. The Hero works exclusively with RDM masts.
