Severne team is always looking to improve the riding experience of all sailors out there by crafting high quality and performance gear. The new 2012 sail models are designed with specific focus on usability and versatility. The new Turbo is a powerful twin cam freeride sail which combines huge low end power with intense top speed and top control. The Turbo is built on a similar blue print as a racing sail, but it is more forgiving and user friendly. It is the perfect choice for recreational freeride and freerace.

The two cams assure easy rigging and improved rotation control out on the waves. The special shaping geometry assures that the sail generates a powerful, locked in feel and delivers optimal power and improved steering response. The sail uses a Stabilizer panel designed to reduce vertical stretch and keep the skin well tensioned under load. This feature maintains the 3D shape of the area and improves handling. The sail can be used with a shorter boom due to the dropped clew. When used with a shorter boom the sail is more reactive and generates a direct feedback. The Dual Clew Positions allow the rider to fine tune the rig according to his specific needs.

The sail is designed on the Element platform which provides increased top speed, quick acceleration and easy maneuverability. As six or seven battens skeleton depending on size keeps the Turbo very stable at high speeds. The sail is crafted using a monofilm structure which assures a lighter and crisper feel, complemented by an X-Ply perimeter and an Aramid Torsion Frame which increase overall durability. If you enjoy high speed and fast freerides, the Severne Turbo is the perfect sail for you.
